Prominvestbank –
the best financial partner in Ukraine

Prominvestbank is the leader of the Ukrainian banking system. Prominvestbank has been working in the independent Ukrainian state for 15 years. During this period it has been headed by the worldfamous Ukrainian financier professor Volodymyr Matvienko.

Prominvestbank is one of the largest Ukrainian banks. It meets all requirements of the National Bank of Ukraine and Basle Committee concerning standards of reliability, liquidity and solvency; these ratios of Prominvestbank significantly exceed the average ratios in the Ukrainian banking system. English magazine The Banker (Financial Times) awarded Prominvestbank “The Bank of the Year” in Ukraine in 2003, 2004 and 2006. Prominvestbank is ranked among the 1,000 Top World Banks for many years running; the bank takes 871st place.

The implementation of new technologies and modern software became important achievement of Prominvestbank. Prominvestbank was the first Ukrainian bank to introduce modern methods of banking. New banking technologies that have no analogs in Ukraine were developed in Prominvestbank: own clearing settlement center, inter-branch exchange of credit resources, currency exchange, reserve computer center for settlements in case of emergency. The scientific system of cashflow control was formed. The balance of payments of the bank in 2006 exceeded UAH 1.0 trillion.

International partners and auditors have pointed out the high level of technological achievements of the bank. The representatives of the Federal Fund of Germany “Memory, Responsibility and Future” remarked during the process of paying compensation to the victims of the World War II through Prominvestbank that they have not seen such high level of software and hardware either in Ukrainian banks or in Polish banks. The ongoing development of the bank informational system allows services of highest quality for customers, continuity and swiftness of settlements, confidentiality of banking information, and the bank management efficiency.

The greatest value of the bank is its clientele. The bank provides services for thousands of the largest companies representing all branches of industry. Since Ukrainian independence Prominvestbank has invested into the Ukrainian economy the equivalent of USD 56.0 billion, which five times exceeds total investments of foreign investors. Every year more than ten thousand Ukrainian companies get loans and enjoy support from the bank. Thirty per cent of the state budget income is formed by the customers of Prominvestbank that provides financing; the clientele of Prominvestbank produces one third of GDP.

The strategy of Prominvestbank concerning the innovative investment model of the economy is aimed at the implementation of scientific and technical achievement progress into production. The bank allocates above 60% of its funds to the investment development of the national economy. In the international arena Prominvestbank provides all basic banking services accepted in the international settlements practice. The bank is active in the extending of the banking services range, increase in banking transactions with Ukrainian and foreign partners, and development of co-operation with international financial institutions.

Prominvestbank suggests wide range of services for the settlements through Letters of Credit, different forms of trade finance and project finance and financing of export/import projects of the customers. The bank has business relations with more than 200 financial institutions in 41 countries. Prominvestbank has a wide network of correspondent banks outside Ukraine, the settlements are made through correspondent accounts in 23 countries. Prominvestbank co-operates with The Bank of New York and JP Morgan (USA), Deutsche Bank AG and Commerzbank AG (Germany), UBS AG and Credit Suisse (Switzerland), HSBC Bank plc (Great Britain), The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd.(Japan), Sberbank of Russia, Vneshtorgbank (Russia) and other banks. In 2006 The Bank of New York awarded Prominvestbank honorary mark for the perfect quality and high level of international payments processing.

Prominvestbank is a permanent member of the Brussels International Banking Club. The bank actively works in the banking telecommunication systems SWIFT and REUTERS. In 2006 European Business Assembly, awarded Prominvestbank “The Best Enterprise of Europe” to mark the substantial influence of Prominvestbank on the formation of the national economy as a whole.

The Chairman of the Bank Board: Volodymyr Pavlovych Matvienko is an Honorary Member of the Board of Directors of the American Biographic Institute and Deputy General Director of the International Biographical Center (Cambridge, England). In 2006 the American Biographic Institute awarded Mr Volodymyr Matvienko “Person of the Year 2006” and International Biographical Center (Cambridge, England) awarded honorary award “Diamond Da Vinci” and “Top 100 professors 2005”.
