What does the European Council of American Chambers of Commerce (ECACC) do?
-
Promotes commercial, financial and industrial relations between the United States and European countries;
- Presents the views of the business community operating in the areas of the member Chambers to agencies and organisations in the United States;
- Represents, when appropriate, the views and aims of the member’s interests to representatives of host country governments and other regional intergovernmental organisations.
As a regional organisation of American Chambers of Commerce Aboard (AmChams), ECACC represents the concerns and interests of the business community at the highest levels of government and business in trade policy development.
AmChams are voluntary associations of American companies and individuals doing business in a particular country, as well as firms and individuals of that country who operate in the United States. AmChams pursue trade policy initiatives, make available publications and services, and sponsor a variety of business development programmes. Currently, 104 AmChams in 91 countries are affiliated with the US Chamber of Commerce.
